Best wedding photo sharing apps in 2026 (honest comparison)

Disclosure: this article is published by Relivv, one of the products it compares. We have tried to be fair, every fact about another company comes from that company’s own website, and the sources are listed at the end. We do not earn commission from any product mentioned here.

The short answer

There is no single best wedding photo sharing app; there is a best one for the wedding you are planning. Based on what each company publishes about its own product:

  • Relivv is a good fit if a live photo wall at the reception is the main thing you want, you would like to try it free, and you prefer to pay in euros.
  • Kululu works almost the same way as Relivv, with near-identical plan limits, and charges in US dollars.
  • WedUploader is the one to pick if you want every file to land in your own Google Drive with no expiry date.
  • POV is for couples who want the disposable-camera feeling: a limited number of shots per guest and a reveal later on.
  • Guestpix suits couples who want themed galleries, print templates, invitations and RSVPs from the same place.
  • Wedibox suits couples who want their wedding website, RSVPs, seating chart and photo sharing behind one QR code, with a money-back guarantee.

The rest of this article explains how we compared them, what each does well, where each falls short, and how to choose.

How we compared them

We looked at tools that let wedding guests share photos with the couple from their own phones. For each one we read the company’s pricing page, plan comparison, FAQ and privacy policy. Prices and plan limits were checked on 9 October 2026; Wedibox’s plans and every company’s privacy policy were checked again on 14 October 2026. Prices change often, so check the current figure on the company’s site before you buy.

We compared the things that decide how many photos you actually end up with and how much hassle it is:

  1. Do guests have to install an app or create an account? Every extra step loses some guests, usually the older ones first.
  2. Is there a live slideshow, and on which plan? A screen at the venue showing new photos is a strong reminder to keep sharing.
  3. Are videos included? Speeches and the first dance are usually filmed, not photographed.
  4. What does it cost, and how is it charged? One-time per event, one-time for all events, or priced by guest count.
  5. How long are the files kept, and can you download everything at once?
  6. What moderation is available? This matters when the screen is in a room with children or guests you do not know.
  7. Where is the data stored? Only as far as each company states it publicly.

We did not use star ratings, review counts or user numbers, because we cannot check them, and we did not test competitors’ products at real weddings. This is a comparison of what each company says its product does.

Relivv

What it is: a live photo wall and shared album for weddings and other events. Guests scan a QR code and upload photos, videos and short text posts from the phone browser, with no app and no account. New uploads appear on a screen at the venue within seconds and go into an album you can download afterwards.

Strengths: the live wall is included on every plan, including Free. Guest pages are available in 19 languages and follow each guest’s phone. Pro adds approval before anything is shown, an automatic filter for explicit images and co-moderators who approve from their own phones. Prices are in euros and, per our terms, include VAT where the law requires it. Files are stored in EU data centres.

Trade-offs: Relivv does photos only: there is no wedding website, RSVP or seating chart. The free plan is short-lived by design (active for 24 hours from the event date, files kept for 7 days), so it suits a single-day event or a trial run. Each event is paid for separately, and paid plans are generally non-refundable because they activate straight away.

Best for: couples who want the live wall to be part of the reception, and international guest lists. See the full plan limits and how the live wall works.

Kululu

What it is: the closest like-for-like alternative to Relivv. Guests join by link or QR code with no app or registration, upload photos and videos, and can add text posts and captions. A live slideshow updates in real time.

Strengths: the live slideshow is on every plan; one-click download of everything on the paid plans; a paid human moderator is available on request, which can help at large public events.

Trade-offs: prices are in US dollars with taxes added, which may matter if you are budgeting in another currency. Kululu’s privacy policy says data is stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States.

Best for: hosts who like the browser-based model and are comfortable paying in dollars. Our Relivv vs Kululu comparison goes into the details.

WedUploader

What it is: a guest upload tool that sends every file straight into the couple’s own Google Drive. Guests use a link or QR code with no app and no login.

Strengths: files are in your Drive from the first upload, in original quality, with no expiry date. One Premium payment unlocks the extra features for all your albums, which is handy if you also have an engagement party or a shower. It also offers voicemail messages and upload notification emails.

Trade-offs: uploads count against your Google storage, and Google’s free allowance is 15 GB shared with Gmail and Photos. The live slideshow and shared gallery are part of the paid Premium package. The host signs in with a Google account.

Best for: couples who already organise their life in Google Drive. More in Relivv vs WedUploader.

POV

What it is: a disposable-camera app. Each guest gets a limited number of shots in POV’s camera, and the gallery is revealed during the event or later, for example the next morning. iPhone guests use an App Clip, so they do not install the full app; Android guests use a web page.

Strengths: the shot limit and delayed reveal make it playful, and it is free for up to 10 guests. A printed photobook is available from the same service.

Trade-offs: guests share photos taken in POV’s camera, not videos or photos already on their phones. The price rises with the guest count, and the live slideshow comes with an add-on package.

Best for: groups who want the disposable-camera game rather than a full archive. See Relivv vs POV.

Guestpix

What it is: a wedding-focused gallery with design themes, print templates, digital invitations, RSVPs and a written or video guestbook. Guests upload through the browser without an app or password.

Strengths: strong on design, with 20 themes and more than 180 print templates; invitations and RSVPs in the same place; galleries kept for 12 months, or 24 months on the Bundle, with a renewal option; full-resolution ZIP download.

Trade-offs: the free plan allows 50 photos and the live slideshow is on paid packages. If you already have an RSVP tool, part of the bundle may go unused.

Best for: couples who want the gallery to match their stationery. See Relivv vs Guestpix.

Wedibox

What it is: an all-in-one wedding toolkit. Depending on the plan, one QR code leads to photo and video sharing, an audio guestbook, a wedding website, RSVPs with meal choices, a seating chart, a shared playlist and registry links. An Embed plan adds the gallery to a website you already have.

Strengths: long upload windows (up to a year on All-In-One) that start on an activation date you choose; storage for 1 or 2 years; original-quality ZIP download on paid plans; a 14-day money-back guarantee; upgrades for the price difference.

Trade-offs: the free plan has 50 photos and no video, slideshow or ZIP download. Its privacy policy does not name a hosting location.

Best for: couples who want one company to handle the website, RSVPs and photos. See Relivv vs Wedibox.

How to choose in five questions

  1. Do you want a screen at the venue? If yes, check which plan includes the live slideshow. Relivv and Kululu include it on every plan; Guestpix and Wedibox on paid plans; WedUploader with Premium; POV with an add-on.
  2. Do you already have a wedding website and RSVPs? If not, Guestpix and Wedibox can cover them. If you do, a photo-only tool avoids paying twice.
  3. Where should the files end up? In your own Google Drive (WedUploader), or hosted by the provider and downloaded later (the others).
  4. How big is the guest list? POV’s price depends on guest numbers; the others charge per event or per account.
  5. What is your currency, and what if you change your mind? Look at the final price including tax, and at the refund policy. Wedibox offers a 14-day money-back guarantee; Relivv’s plans are generally non-refundable, but you can test everything on the free plan first.

Whichever you choose: three things that matter more than the app

Make the QR code impossible to miss. One code per table works better than one sign at the entrance. Put a short line next to it, such as “Scan to share your photos with us”.

Test it before the day. Upload a few photos yourself from a phone that is not yours, ideally at the venue, to check the signal and the screen.

Download everything soon after. Every hosted service deletes eventually or asks you to renew. A full copy on your own computer, plus a backup, is the only permanent version.

Frequently asked questions

Which wedding photo sharing app is free?

Several have free plans with different limits: Relivv and Kululu allow 100 uploads with a live slideshow, Guestpix and Wedibox 50 photos, POV up to 10 guests, and WedUploader’s Basic plan sends unlimited uploads to your Google Drive.

Do guests need to download an app?

For most current tools, no. Relivv, Kululu, WedUploader, Guestpix and Wedibox work in the phone browser. POV uses an App Clip on iPhone and a web page on Android.

Which app keeps photos the longest?

WedUploader stores files in your Google Drive with no expiry. Among hosted services, Guestpix’s Bundle and Wedibox’s All-In-One keep galleries for 2 years and Relivv Pro for 1 year. Download a full copy whichever you use.

Is this comparison independent?

No. Relivv wrote it, and we have tried to be fair by using only each company’s own published information. If anything is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
